Moist avalanches below approximately 1900 m. New snow at elevated altitudes.
10 to 20 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall until the evening above approximately 1900 m. The rain will give rise to moistening of the snowpack below approximately 1800 m. Isolated mostly small dry and moist avalanches are possible as a consequence of the new snow. Avalanches can in some places be released, in particular by large loads. In regions exposed to heavier precipitation and at elevated altitudes the avalanche prone locations are more widespread and the danger is greater.
The sleet will give rise to moistening of the snowpack below approximately 1800 m. The fresh snow will be rather moist. This snow will be deposited on a crust in particular on sunny slopes. Especially in areas with smaller amounts of fresh snow, this will favour bonding with the old snowpack.
