As a consequence of warming during the day and the solar radiation, the likelihood of wet avalanches being released will increase especially on extremely steep sunny slopes. More frequent wet loose snow avalanches are to be expected, but they will be mostly small. The runout zones are to be treated with caution. Backcountry tours should be concluded early.
Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise as the day progresses to thorough wetting of the snowpack. Rather lightly snow-covered shady slopes above approximately 1800 m: Towards its base, the snowpack is faceted.
The high temperatures will give rise to increasing and thorough wetting of the snowpack.
