Lo esencial
Temperature inversions strengthened overnight with the mountains starting out 10 to 15 degrees warmer than the valleys. In very steep, avalanche prone terrain above 9,000 feet that held snow from October, skiers and riders might be able to trigger an isolated pocket of slab with depths ranging from one to two feet. Elsewhere, mostly stable snow exists, and avalanches are unlikely. Early season conditions are present in many areas, and normal caution is advised.
Avalanche Discussion
A weak system passing through the area tonight could bring brief periods of snow showers although accumulations are expected to be minimal. By morning, a ridge of high pressure will provide mostly clear and dry conditions through Tuesday night. Temperatures are to be colder with mountains reaching the teens while valleys reach the upper twenties. The general avalanche danger on Tuesday will be Low. Mostly stable snow exists and avalanches are unlikely at this time. The exception to this would be for a slight chance to trigger small isolated pockets that could lurk in extreme terrain like cliff areas.
