Snow sport activities outside marked and open pistes call for experience in the assessment of avalanche danger and caution. On shady slopes a moderate danger of dry avalanches will persist.

The new snow and wind slabs represent the main danger.

Snowpack Structure

Wind slabs can in some places be released by large loads and reach medium size. The avalanche prone locations for dry avalanches are to be found in particular at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack, when entering gullies and bowls for example and on very steep shady slopes.
