Forecast Snow Stability: The main snowpack will remain above 700 metres with the greatest deposits on North to East aspects. The snowpack will be firm, icy and stable in all locations. Any fresh deposits that develop through the day will be very shallow and avoidable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Snowpack Structure
Forecast Weather Influences: After a dry night there will be some light showers during the day. These will fall as snow above 400 metres. Moderate winds will be from a generally Westerly direction. Observed Weather Influences: A cold and dry day with the freezing level around 600 metres. Light winds from the North-East. ObservedSnowStability: The main snowpack is found above 700 metres with the greatest deposits on North to East facing slopes and coires. The snow surface has frozen in the colder conditions. It is hard, icy and stable in all locations. The avalanche hazard is Low.
