Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will rise to 1300 metres overnight before gradually falling to 600 metres by the end of Monday. Light snowfall is expected, with strong Southerly winds veering to the South-West on Monday Observed Weather Influences: A dry day with strong Southerly winds over the summits. The freezing level was around 800 metres. ObservedSnowStability: Much of the snowpack surface is now re-frozen however some localised accumulations of windslab are still present mainly on sheltered North-West, North and North-East aspects above 1100 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.

Forecast Snow Stability: The existing snowpack will remain generally frozen and stable. Some fresh windslab will form during the day in sheltered locations. Greatest accumulations will be on steep North, North-East and East aspects above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.
