Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will remain firm, well consolidated and stable in all areas. Greatest accumulations will be on North-West through North to East aspects above 900m. Below this altitude, the snowpack will continue to thaw and diminish. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will initially be around 1000m, rising to well above the summits for the rest of the forecast period. The wind will be gale force occasionally storm force, from the West-South-West. A dry day is expected, with only occasional light snow showers at the start of the forecasting period. Observed Weather Influences: Strong winds from the West-South-West. The freezing level remained around 900m. A mainly dry day with occasional light showers. ObservedSnowStability: The snow pack is firm, well consolidated and stable in all areas, following the overnight refreeze. Greatest accumulations are on North-West through North to East aspects above 900m. Only patchy snow cover remains below this. The avalanche hazard is Low.
