Avalanche Activity

New snow and wind slabs above approximately 1500 m.

Above approximately 1900 m and on wind-loaded slopes dry and moist avalanches are possible, even medium-sized ones. Further increase in danger as the snowfall becomes more intense. Danger level 3 (considerable) will be reached towards the evening probably.

Snowpack Structure

Heavy precipitation above approximately 1800 m. The new snow and wind slabs will be deposited on the quite favourable surface of an old snowpack above approximately 1900 m.
