The fresh snow as well as the wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in all aspects above approximately 1800 m. Numerous weak layers exist in the snowpack especially on steep northeast, north and northwest facing slopes. Even single winter sport participants can release avalanches very easily, including large ones. In gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain the avalanche prone locations are more prevalent. Careful route selection and spacing between individuals are recommended.

Over a wide area 40 cm of snow, and up to 40 cm in some localities, has fallen since Saturday above approximately 1800 m. The new snow can be released easily or naturally in all aspects above the tree line. The new snow is lying on surface hoar in areas close to the tree line. Towards its base, the snowpack is faceted and weak.
