Forecast Snow Stability: The old snowpack found mostly on North through East to Southerly aspects above 1000 metres, will remain firm, well bonded and stable. Windslab accumulations on South-East to South-West aspects above 1000 metres will continue to consolidate. These will be mostly isolated and confined to steep locations such as, gully exits, coire rims and convexities. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: High pressure is expected to bring dry, clear conditions with sunshine during the day. Moderate Easterly winds will ease to become light, variable. The freezing level will be around 500 to 600 metres. Observed Weather Influences: A cold, dry day with moderate Northerly winds. Midday summit temperatures of minus 6 degrees C. ObservedSnowStability: In general the old snowpack is firm, well bonded and stable, most widespread on North through East to Southerly aspects above 1000 metres. Localised shallow accumulations of windslab have developed on South-East to South-West aspects above 1000 metres. These are mostly stable, with some isolated instabilities where deeper deposits lie in steep, wind sheltered terrain. Elsewhere the ground is mostly bare with a thin dusting of new snow. The avalanche hazard is Low.
