Lo esencial

The avalanche danger is Low at all elevations. Natural and human-triggered avalanches are unlikely. Weak layers near the base of the snowpack appear to be dormant and very difficult to trigger. Small, isolated pockets of more recently formed wind slabs are also likely to be stubborn. Continue to practice safe travel techniques such as limiting the number of people on a steep slope to one at a time, avoiding stopping in avalanche runout zones and carrying your avalanche rescue gear.

Avalanche Discussion

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Tomorrow, you can expect more sunshine and temperatures in the teens in the mountains. Skies will be clear tonight though scattered clouds will build over the mountains during the day tomorrow. Wind will increase a notch to ten to fifteen mph from the west and northwest. Avalanche danger will remain Low with some wind slabs that were built yesterday possibly lingering at high elevations. The persistent slab problem is very unlikely to be triggered but given the nature of these layers, moving one at a time should continue to be the rule, especially in really steep, northerly terrain.
