Avalanche Activity

The fresh snow and the wind slabs that are forming above all adjacent to ridgelines in all aspects represent the main danger.

The fresh snow and the mostly small wind slabs can still be released in some cases in particular on steep, little used north, northeast and northwest facing slopes above approximately 2000 m.

Snowpack Structure

The old snowpack will be favourable at intermediate and high altitudes. In particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls as well as at high altitude mostly small wind slabs will form.
