Avalanche Activity

Backcountry tours and off-piste skiing should be concluded early.

The early morning will see favourable conditions mostly, but the danger of wet avalanches will increase later. The soft wind slabs of last week can be released in some cases in particular on steep shady slopes above approximately 2500 m.

Snowpack Structure

Isolated avalanche prone weak layers exist in the old snowpack in particular on steep shady slopes. As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation mostly small moist and wet avalanches are possible.
