Forecast Snow Stability: Little change. The snowpack will remain generally well bonded and stable, softening on sun affected aspects. Remaining cornices are liable to collapse. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: It will remain dry with sunny, clear conditions. Temperature inversion conditions with the Freezing level above summits. The winds will remain strong South-Easterly throughout. Observed Weather Influences: High pressure resulted in bright, dry and sunny conditions. Cold overnight before the Freezing level rose to above summits. The winds have been fresh South-Easterly. ObservedSnowStability: The spring snowpack is well bonded and stable. Hard conditions underfoot to start, before softening on sun affected aspects as the day progressed. The main accumulations lie above 850 metres in gully tops and around coire rims, primarily on steepest North through to Easterly aspects. The avalanche hazard is Low.
