Forecast Snow Stability: Little change. The snowpack will be well bonded and stable throughout, soften through the day but remain firm on shaded Northerly facing slopes. Glide cracks will continue to widen, these will be mostly above 900 metres on sun exposed slopes. Cornices on a multitude of aspects will be unstable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Forecast Weather Influences: Clear and sunny throughout the forecast period. Inversion conditions will continue with ground temperatures around freezing at dawn; however the air temperature will remain above freezing at all levels. Light to moderate winds will be Westerly in direction. Observed Weather Influences: A warm sunny day with light to moderate Westerly winds. Inversion conditions; freezing at glen level first thing, summit temperatures at midday, plus 4 degrees C. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is well bonded and stable throughout. Soft and thawing on sun exposed slopes, firm on shaded Northerly aspects. Remaining cornices are unstable, these overhang a multitude of aspects. Glide cracks continue to widen, these are mainly above 900 metres on sun exposed slopes. The avalanche hazard is Low.
