As a consequence of new snow and strong wind the avalanche prone locations will become more prevalent as the day progresses. The sometimes deep wind slabs can still be released in some cases in particular on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2200 m. In particular on very steep slopes and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large dry and moist avalanches are possible as a consequence of the precipitation. Backcountry touring calls for careful route selection.

Over a wide area 15 to 30 cm of snow will fall above approximately 2200 m. Up to 2000 m rain will fall until late morning in some regions. The weather conditions will give rise to increasing moistening of the snowpack at low and intermediate altitudes. In some places new snow and wind slabs are lying on a hard crust. In particular steep shady slopes, above approximately 2200 m: Towards its base, the snowpack is faceted and weak.

In some regions increase in danger of dry and wet avalanches as a consequence of new snow and strong wind.
