Isolated avalanche prone weak layers exist in the old snowpack. Avalanches can be released in deeper layers, in particular by large additional loads. These can reach medium size in isolated cases. Apart from the danger of being buried, restraint should be exercised in particular in view of the danger of avalanches sweeping people along and giving rise to falls. Watch out for the numerous rocks hidden by the little recent snow.

The high humditiy gave rise on Wednesday to moistening of the snowpack over a wide area in particular in the Prealps below approximately 2100 m. As a consequence of falling temperatures a crust formed on the surface. Isolated avalanche prone weak layers exist in the old snowpack. At low altitude less snow than usual is lying.

The weather will be mild. Gradual decrease in avalanche danger.
