A generally favourable avalanche situation will prevail. Fresh wind slabs require caution.
Avalanche Activity
A generally favourable avalanche situation will prevail. Fresh wind slabs require caution.
The fresh wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant, but they will be small in most cases. This applies in particular in the east. The avalanche prone locations are rare but are easy to recognise. Such avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines at elevated altitudes. More loose snow avalanches are to be expected as the day progresses, but they will be mostly small. On steep grassy slopes small to medium-sized gliding avalanches are possible. This applies in particular in the west and below approximately 2400 m.
Snowpack Structure
The small wind slabs are lying on soft layers in particular on steep shady slopes. Steep sunny slopes, high altitudes: The surface of the snowpack will soften during the day. Only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year.
Tendency
A generally favourable avalanche situation will prevail. Slight increase in danger of moist and wet avalanches as a consequence of warming.
