New snow· Mañana
- Above 1,500 m
Heavy snowfall. The new snow and wind slabs can be released easily or naturally above approximately 1500 m.
Up to 40 cm of snow will fall above approximately 1500 m. The new snow is bonding poorly with the old snowpack. The sleet will give rise in the late morning to a loss of strength within the snowpack below approximately 1500 m. The fresh wind slabs are barely recognisable because of the poor visibility. On south facing slopes below approximately 1800 m a little snow is lying.
A little new snow. The starting zones have released the snow to some extent.
Heavy snowfall. The new snow and wind slabs can be released easily or naturally above approximately 1500 m.
In all aspects medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large natural avalanches are possible. The avalanche prone locations are to be found at the base of rock walls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls.
