Over a wide area in some localities up to 15 cm of snow has fallen since Monday above approximately 2000 m. Up to the tree line and above rain has fallen. Until Saturday the weather will be mostly sunny. The weather will be mild. The somewhat older wind slabs are to be found adjacent to ridgelines on northwest, north and northeast facing slopes and at high altitudes. These can be released, even by small loads in isolated cases and reach medium size. As the day progresses as a consequence of warming during the day there will be a gradual increase in the danger of moist and wet avalanches. Backcountry tours should be concluded timely.

The sleet gave rise to gradual moistening of the snowpack below approximately 2200 m. The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust and will soften during the day.
