Avalanche Activity

Wind slabs especially in gullies and bowls.

At high altitude and in gullies and bowls individual small avalanches are possible. These can be released by large loads.

Snowpack Structure

At intermediate and high altitudes a little snow is lying. The sometimes strong wind has transported some snow. The wind slabs are shallow. These are to be found especially in gullies and bowls and generally at high altitudes. The weather conditions will give rise to gradual moistening of the snowpack also at high altitude.
