Avalanche Summary

More snow than expected on Sunday night and Monday deposited up to a foot of snow in some portions of the Grand Mesa and Battlement Mesas. You can trigger an avalanche that breaks in this new snow and in some areas it could grow large enough to bury you. Avoid traveling on slopes steeper than about 35 degrees where you find over a foot of new snow, especially if there are terrain traps such as a creek or a lake below you.
