The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE above an elevation of 9,000 feet. People venturing into steep northerly facing avalanche terrain could trigger slab avalanches up to two feet deep in depth. Below an elevation of 9,000 feet the snowpack is mostly stable and the general avalanche hazard is LOW.

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Clouds are to increase during the day and bring the chance for light snow showers to the area Friday afternoon through Saturday morning. Highs are to be the teens and winds are to back to the northwest with ten to twenty mile per hour averages.The general avalanche hazard will be MODERATE above 9000 feet where in isolated areas the chance continues to trigger slabs to two feet in depth in very steep shaded terrain. Below 9000 feet the hazard will be LOW in the stable and shallow snowpack.
