As temperatures rise, these slabs will become more susceptible to failure. Daytime warming will also break down surface crusts and wet loose sluffs will be fairly easy to trigger, and could release naturally, on steep, sun affected aspects. Similarly, cornices are likely to become unstable later in the day and terrain beneath them should be avoided.
