Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to consolidate, become firmer and be well bonded and stable throughout. The most extensive snowfields will be above 1000 metres, around coire back walls and the plateau. Elsewhere the ground will be mostly bare with ribbons of snow at lower levels. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Generally dry with the potential for a few snow flurries towards the end of the day. South-Easterly winds will be moderate to strong at higher levels, easing through the afternoon. Overnight the freezing level will steadily fall to 700metres, before rising to 1000 metres during the day. Observed Weather Influences: Mainly dry with occasional showers falling as rain at all levels. Winds were moderate South-Easterly. The freezing level remained above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack continues to thaw at all altitudes and is well bonded and stable throughout. The most extensive snowfields are above 1000 metres around coire back walls and the plateau. The avalanche hazard is Low.
