Forecast Snow Stability: There will be little change to current conditions with the patchy snow cover remaining firm and well bonded. Greatest amounts of snow will be found in North to East facing corries above 900 metres, patchy elsewhere. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Initially the freezing level will be over the summits but it will gradually drop to around 800 metres or so late afternoon. Any precipitation will be light with a dusting of snow late afternoon. There will be a strong breeze throughout, South-South-West during the day, veering to the West-North-West at the end of this period. Observed Weather Influences: A dry day with the freezing level above the summits. Winds were fresh from the South-West. ObservedSnowStability: The remaining snow cover is firm and well bonded. Cover is patchy with greatest amounts found in North to East facing corries above 900 metres. Patchy in other locations. The avalanche hazard is Low.
