The general avalanche hazard is LOW at all elevations. Cool overnight temperatures have completed a melt freeze cycle, producing mostly stable conditions. The storm cycle impacting the area should produce sufficient cloud cover to hold back the solar effect, keeping stable conditions throughout the day.

Some snow showers will linger into the evening hours before ending after midnight. Dry weather is expected Monday into Monday night as a ridge of high pressure builds. Overnight temperatures in the mountains should dip into the single digits, before rebounding into the high 20s tomorrow. Valley lows are forecasted to be in the teens with daytime highs near 40. AVALANCHE HAZARD FORECAST FOR THE TETON, TOGWOTEE PASS, AND SOUTHWEST TRAILS AREAS:The general avalanche hazard tomorrow morning is expected to be MODERATE at the high elevation, and LOW below 9,000 feet. Soft slabs up to one foot in depth could be triggered in wind loaded starting zones. In the afternoon, the avalanche hazard will rise as sun and increasing temperatures soften and weaken the upper snowpack. Expect sun balling and sloughing of the new snow on southerly aspects, which could carry skiers or riders over cliff bands or into terrain traps.
