A shallow snowpack comprised of a mixture of crusts, surface hoar and faceted snow persists above an elevation of 9,500 feet on steep slopes that face directly south and above an elevation of 8,000 feet on steep northerly aspects. Avalanches are unlikely.

Early indications point to between 1 and 4 inches across the valleys with 4 to 8 inches in the mountains. Some light snow or flurries are possible ahead of the main system Wednesday through Wednesday evening but no accumulation is expected until late Wednesday night or Thursday. On Wednesday southwest winds will increase ahead of an approaching cold front.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW on Wednesday. Avalanches are unlikely.
