Lo esencial

At the mid and upper elevations the natural release of soft slabs up to two feet in depth was observed yesteday on steep wind loaded aspects. Similar events are possible today and could pull out deeper snow layers all the way to the ground. At the mid and lower elevations several nights of warm temperatures have created an unstable snowpack on all aspects. Wet loose and wet slab avalanches running on the ground surface are likely on steep snow covered slopes, steep banks and road cuts. TRAVEL IN SNOW COVERED AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMEDED AT THE MID AND LOWER ELEVATIONS TODAY. At the upper elevations travel on steep wind loaded aspects and in areas with an isothermal snowpack is not advised today.
