Lo esencial

Cold temperatures and cloud cover have mitigated the threat of wet slides. Aside from an isolated pocket of new, very shallow surface slab near ridgelines at the higher elevations, the snowpack is mostly stable and avalanches are unlikely.

Avalanche Discussion

Cloud cover will decrease overnight and partly cloudy to mostly clear skies are in store for Friday. Overnight lows in the mountains will be near 10 degrees before rising into the upper 20s during the day. Northwesterly ridgetop winds at 5 to 15 miles per hour will back to the southwest by late afternoon.Cold overnight temperatures, combined with a snowpack that has undergone numerous melt-freeze cycles, will keep the avalanche hazard LOW on Friday.
