Lo esencial

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE. Very warm overnight temperatures and sunshine will create the possibility for naturally occurring and human triggered wet-loose surface slides on steep, sunlit slopes. Avoid steep, south facing slopes and their run-outs in the afternoon. The heat also increases the chance for people to release partial or full depth, hard-slab avalanches. The larger slides have been dormant for some time but the loose, faceted snow layers within and at the base of the snowpack remain and the stress of a warming snowpack and backcountry users could trigger an event.
