Fresh wind slabs require caution.

Single winter sport participants can release avalanches easily, caution is to be exercised in particular in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain, as well as at the base of rock walls. Avalanche prone locations for dry avalanches are to be found in particular on steep west, north and east facing slopes above the tree line. The avalanche prone locations are covered with new snow and are difficult to recognise. Individual gliding avalanches and wet snow slides are possible, especially on steep grassy slopes below the tree line.

As a consequence of new snow and a strong to storm force wind from southwesterly directions, avalanche prone wind slabs formed. This applies in particular at high altitude. New snow is lying on a moist old snowpack. This applies below the tree line.
