Avalanche Activity

In all altitude zones only a little snow is lying. The wind slabs represent the main danger.

Wind slabs are mostly small but to be assessed critically. Very isolated avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular in extremely steep terrain above approximately 1900 m. The wind slabs are to be avoided whenever possible.

Snowpack Structure

Faceted weak layers exist in the snowpack in particular on shady slopes. In all altitude zones only a little snow is lying. The snowpack will be subject to considerable local variations.
