Forecast Snow Stability: Little change in snow cover. A thin layer of unconsolidated snow lies on all aspects above 400m. Above 1000 metres isolated generally stable accumulations will be present in wind sheltered and steep places on mainly Easterly to Southerly aspects. These areas are limited in extent. Elsewhere, snow cover is thin, but deeper in wind sheltered hollows which are mostly avoidable. The avalanche hazard will be Low

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Freezing level will be around 400m throughout the forecast period. Winds fresh South-Westerly backing South-East then strong North-Easterly by the afternoon. A mostly dry day is expected with some light snow showers possible from mid afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: A bright sunny and dry day but cold with summit temperatures around - 6 deg C.. Winds fresh South-Westerly at summit levels. ObservedSnowStability: A thin cover of unconsolidated snow on all aspects above 400m. Above 1000 metres isolated moderately bonded windslab is present in wind sheltered and steep places on mainly Easterly to Southerly aspects. These areas are very limited in extent and are generally stable. Coire rims, steep convexities and gully tops most affected. Elsewhere, snow cover is thin, but deeper in wind sheltered hollows which are avoidable. The avalanche hazard is Low
