Lo esencial

Generally stable conditions exist. Exercise caution in exposed or extreme terrain. Areas of unstable snow may develop on solar aspects today as the sun comes out and temperatures rise.

    Probabilidad

    Tamaño
    1–1.5

Sunny skies and warm temperatures will lead to surface warming on solar aspects. A hard refreeze last night and gusty winds will work together to limit warming at higher elevations. Expect peak instability on solar aspects and at lower elevations by midday. Rock outcroppings and cliff bands will amplify the effects of solar warming. A wet, sticky snow surface and rollerballs may foreshadow Wet Loose avalanches. Do your own localized assessments and be ready to retreat to shaded aspects if surface melt becomes concerning.

Avalanche Discussion

While generally stable avalanche conditions exist on a regional scale, finding areas of unstable snow will not be impossible. Exercise caution if you push into exposed or extreme terrain today, and remember that even a very small avalanche could have elevated consequences in high-risk areas.
