Avalanche Activity

The wind slabs can be released in some cases in particular on very steep shady slopes.

The avalanche prone locations for dry avalanches are to be found in particular in the vicinity of peaks and on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2500 m.

Snowpack Structure

The older wind slabs are easy for the trained eye to recognise and can only be released in isolated cases.
