The avalanche danger is LOW and we have generally safe avalanche conditions. Sluffing is the new snow is likely on slopes approaching 35 degrees or steeper, and pockets of wind-drifted snow may be found in isolated, upper-elevation terrain. Getting caught in even a small avalanche could have significant consequences with the risk of hitting a rock, stump, or downed timber.

Snow and Weather
Skies are clear and winds are out of the north and have increased slightly overnight, but are still generally light, averaging in the teens, with gusts in the 20's mph above 10,000'. Temperatures range from the high single digits to mid teens F.
Snowpack depths above 9500' in the central Wasatch are 18-24", and the 3-6" of low-density snow from Wednesday/Thursday greatly improved riding conditions.
Today will feature clear skies and sunshine with temperatures rising into the 20's F. Winds will be northerly, with gusts in the teens and low 20's mph along uppermost ridges.
