The more recent wind slabs must be evaluated with care and prudence.
The fresh wind slabs are to be bypassed as far as possible in high Alpine regions. At high altitude the avalanche prone locations are more prevalent.
Snowpack Structure
As a consequence of a sometimes strong wind, small wind slabs will form. Only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year in all altitude zones.
