The first of these will bring some light snow or flurries to the mountains overnight. A slightly stronger system will bring two to four inches to the mountains on Saturday afternoon and evening.Skies will be mostly cloudy. Temperatures will be in the teens and 20s. Winds will be south at 10 to 20 miles per hour overnight and veer towards the west and increase to 20 to 30 with higher gusts Saturday afternoon.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be MODERATE at elevations of 8,500 to 10,500 feet. Soft slabs one to three in depth persist and have some potential to be human triggered on steep slopes. These slabs may be triggered by the weight of one person and are likely to more sensitive to larger triggers such as snowmachines. The general avalanche hazard at the lower elevations is expected to be LOW.
