Lo esencial
At the upper elevations 27 inches of new snow with one inch of moisture has fallen in the past 27 hours. West-southwest winds have formed new soft slabs up to three feet deep at the upper elevations and up to two feet in depth at the mid elevations. In addition large volume loose snow sluffs have been running long distances in steep terrain. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENED AT THE UPPER ELEVATIONS TODAY. Serious discretion will be necessary for travel in avalanche terrain at the mid elevations. At the lower elevations isolated pockets of slab up to one foot in depth could be triggered in steep wind loaded starting zones.
