Lo esencial

The snowpack is mostly stable, however strong northwest winds have formed isolated pockets of new soft slab up to ten inches in depth in some upper elevation starting zones. These new soft slabs could be human triggered in very steep wind loaded cliff areas. At the mid and upper elevations some instability also persists due to a buried weak layer of faceted snow. Some potential remains to trigger old hard slabs up to 3 feet in depth on steep shaded slopes on this weak layer. At low elevations avalanches are unlikely in the shallow snowpack.
