Lo esencial

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE above 9000 feet where backcountry riders or skiers have the potential to trigger pockets of firm surface slabs to depths up to 18 inches. These slabs lie in exposed, very steep terrain that lies in or around cliffs or rocky areas. Below 9,000 feet the hazard is LOW where isolated pockets to ten inches could be triggered in very steep terrain.
