Lo esencial

The general avalanche hazard remains CONSIDERABLE. Surface slabs up to two feet in depth exist. DANGEROUS deep slab instabilities persist. These surface slabs lie upon buried weak layers of faceted snow and if triggered could step down to weak early season layers or the ground. These slabs could be triggered on steep wind loaded avalanche prone slopes by a single skier or rider but are more likely to be triggered by snowmachines. The greatest hazard is to highmarking snowmobilers or skiers and snowboarders who venture into very steep extreme terrain and cliff areas.
