You can trigger an avalanche on many slopes on Sunday. On some wind-loaded slopes near and above treeline, they can grow large enough to bury you. Watch for obvious signs of instability, such as shooting cracks, and avoid traveling on steep wind-loaded slopes where the snow feels stiff and hollow. You can find safer travel options by seeking out wind-sheltered slopes below treeline.
