Lo esencial

Cold temperatures and cloud cover have mitigated the threat of wet slides. The snowpack is mostly stable and avalanches are unlikely.

Avalanche Discussion

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW on Thursday. Cold temperatures and mostly cloudy skies will continue along with the chance for light, scattered snow showers. Overnight lows in the mountains will be in the low teens before rising into the low 20s during the day. Westerly to northwesterly ridgetop winds will range from 10 to 20 miles per hour.Aside from an isolated pocket of new, very shallow surface slab near ridgelines at the higher elevations, the snowpack is mostly stable and avalanches are unlikely.
