Avalanche Activity

The fresh snow as well as the wind slabs represent the main danger. This applies in particular in the regions exposed to heavier precipitation.

In all aspects and in the regions exposed to heavier precipitation medium-sized to large avalanches are possible as a consequence of new snow and strong wind. Gliding avalanches are possible in particular on steep grassy slopes. The new snow and wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in all aspects.

Snowpack Structure

As a consequence of snowfall and the strong southwesterly wind, fresh snow drift accumulations will form. The fresh snow as well as the wind slabs that are forming in all aspects are bonding poorly with the old snowpack.

Tendency

Some snow will fall over a wide area.
