NC for 2.2:22: The old snowpack will remain stable at all altitudes. Greatest amounts on NW, N to E aspects above 1000m. Low Hazard.

Forecast Snow Stability: The limited snowpack will be well bonded and stable at all altitudes. The most widespread patches will remain on North-West through North to Easterly aspects above 1000 metres especially on steep coire back walls, ridge flanks and plateau areas. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Gale force Westerly winds will ease a little during the night and morning, before increasing through the afternoon. Dry conditions with hill fog up until late afternoon when there will be some light rain at all levels. Overnight the 900 metre freezing level will rise to, and remain above the summits. Observed Weather Influences: Spells of light rain on gale to storm force West-North-Westerly winds. It was freezing at around summit levels at midday, cooler through the afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: Isolate windslab accumulations which remain on East to South aspects mainly above 1000 metres are thawing, soft and stable. Elsewhere the old snowpack is well bonded, limited in extent and generally confined to steep coire back walls, ridge flanks and plateau areas on North-West through North to Easterly aspects above 1000 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
