Lo esencial

New soft slabs up to 12 inches in depth put in by westerly winds have formed at the upper elevations. With more snow and strong winds in the forecast the hazard and slab depths at the upper elevations will increase as the day progresses. These slabs lie upon excellent sliding surfaces and are likely to be human triggered. On steep wind loaded aspects these slabs could release naturally. At the mid elevations pockets of soft slab up to one foot in depth could be human triggered on steep wind loaded aspects. At the lower elevations the snowpack is shallow and avalanches are unlikley.
