Lo esencial

The general avalanche hazard is HIGH today. Strong winds and snow have formed slabs up to three feet in depth on wind loaded slopes and in cliff areas. These slabs lie on slick crusts lubricated by weak light density snow and could easily be triggered on steeper slopes by skiers, snowmobilers, or boarders. Yesterday many slides to three feet in depth were released at all elevations. At lower elevations slabs could be released on steep banks and in gullies. Travel in avalanche terrain is not recommended today.
