Lo esencial

Very dangerous avalanche conditions exist. Large to very large naturally released avalanches are possible, and large to very large human triggered avalanches are likely. Travel in avalanche terrain is not recommended.

Problemas de aludes

  • Wind Slabs

    • Alta montaña
    • Límite del bosque
    • Bajo el límite del bosque
    Probabilidad
    Very Likely
    Tamaño
    2–3

Winds slabs formed by very strong west to northwest winds are likely to be human triggered and release naturally today. These slabs are expected to have crown depths of two to four feet and could step down to deeper layers.

  • Deep Persistent Slabs

    • Alta montaña
    • Límite del bosque
    • Bajo el límite del bosque
    Probabilidad
    Likely
    Tamaño
    3

Deep persistent slabs with depths of four to six feet lie upon buried layers of weak faceted snow and have potential to release naturally, be triggered by the weight of a single person or by the release of an overlying wind slab.
